The scheme is beneficial to all bike riders who have a full motorcycle licence regardless of the size of bike or experience of the rider. There is a test assessment involved although you may not need to take any training if your skills are assessed as satisfactory. Apart from the obvious benefit of discovering whether you have picked up any potentially hazardous flaws in your riding pattern, the successful riders who receive the DSA Certificate of Competence-Enhanced Rider Bonus are then able to approach many of the leading motorcycle insurance companies who are prepared to offer substantial discounts.
