Moped/Scooter & 125cc Motorbike Training

Lessons are 2 hours long with a maximum group size of 3 customers (usually 2) per instructor incl bike-to-bike radio, debrief and post lesson discussion on what to do next. Although some organisations offer a ratio of 1 instructor per customer, this is usually for much shorter lessons, typically 1 hour. We have found that pupils benefit more from the longer lesson times that our group sizes allow. Obviously, any one customer will not be on the "lead" bike for the entire lesson, but the instructor's comments can be heard by all members of the group, and customers tend to learn by noticing the other riders' actions, as well as thinking about their own riding. Having said that, we do not believe in using the large groups that some organisations do.

When the right standard of riding is reached, we will organise the necessary DSA practical tests.

The bikes we use are 4 stroke single cylinder Honda CG125's for normal clutch and geared 125 lessons. These bikes are excellent for people who have not had much experience on motorbikes or do not have the confidence on the larger machines.

We encourage our beginner customers to increase their experience by hiring out a 125cc machine for a day, and riding on their own. This allows for more miles and practice and gives invaluable experience of solo riding. This is only available to our pupils who are taking lessons with us
